    Thanks for your effort.
    I have a question, what kind of plugins you use for this theme to work smoothly ???
    Is there any step by step tutorial to install and manage this theme for our portfolio website??
    Thanks in advance for your response

    Can you clarify for me one things – after installing your theme I found that Widgets area on site does not reflect changes made in Admin. Looking in theme’s sidebar.php I saw that there are straight code (not using dynamic widgest).

    How can I use WP feature as dynamic sidebar in your theme?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Navyvorot,

    Yes, you can add dynamic sidebar.

    just put the following lines in your sidebar.php

    <ul class="sidebar">
     <?php dynamic_sidebar(); ?>

    thanks for the wordpress adaption of this great theme!
    Since I’m not an expert in PHP/CSS here some questions.

    1. The aligment in the category-portfolio page isn’t right. The space between the first and the second thumbnail row is smaller than the other. I solved by making this change. Works, but don’t know if it’s right:
    $count = 0;
    $portfolio_item_class = "";
    for ($i = 0; $i

    2. Is there a possiblity to link each thumbnail of the category-portfolio to separate portfolio_single page? Like here: http://urlglobe.com/portfolio.html

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Pengbo!

    First, thanks for the wordpress adaption of this great theme!
    Since I’m not an expert in PHP/CSS here some question.

    1. The aligment of the thumbnails on the category-portfolio page is different. The get the same space between the three row I did this change. Works for me, but don’t know if it’s 100% correct:
    $count = 0;
    $portfolio_item_class = "";
    for ($i = 0; $i

    2. Is there a posibillity to link each thumbnail image to a separate portfolio_single page? Like here: http://urlglobe.com/portfolio.html

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Sven,

    1.for the first question, I did not get the whole snippet of your code, but i guess you want to use different class for each row. I think your way is all right!

    2. for your second question, i think it is also doable, but you need to assign each thumbnail a url which can be defined as custom field too.

  6. Sven says:

    Sorry for double posting.
    Here second try to post the changed code:

    $count = 0;
    $portfolio_item_class = "";
    for ($i = 0; $i

  7. Sven says:

    $count = 0;
    $portfolio_item_class = “”;
    for ($i = 0; $i

    Hi, thanx for the adaptation of this great theme.

    Is there any way or hack to make the contact section get displayed on IE 7 ?

    thanks in advance

    nice work :)
    but there’s one problem: if you don’t give an url to a social profile, the headline “Social Profiles” appears. Not nice.
    Very easy solution:
    Go to the file “page-contact-us.php” and add the following code above the -Tag of the social profile list:

    <?php if((get_post_meta($post->ID, 'my_twitter', true) ||
                  get_post_meta($post->ID, 'my_facebook', true)||
                  get_post_meta($post->ID, 'my_stumbleupon', true) ||
                  get_post_meta($post->ID, 'my_flickr', true) ||
                  get_post_meta($post->ID, 'my_delicious', true)
                )) { ?>

    After the closing tag add this:
    Now it’s even better!

    sorry, code tags gone away :(

    don’t worry, I fixed it :)

    nice catch! Thanks for your improvement:)

    wsl Reply:

    no problem.
    I’ve found one mistake more.
    In the original theme is the active page marked in the menu with a triangle above the title. But in the modified wordpress version it seems as the triangles flew away.

    Go to header.php and replace in the menu list (ul, id=”navigation”, class=”grid_8″) “if(is_category(‘name’))” with “if(is_page(‘name))”. Then it will work again :)
    Don’t know if the original works at your blog, at my it doesn’t so for me it’s very helpful.

    admin Reply:

    Hi, the menu has two types, one is page like “about”,”contact”, and the other is category, like “blog”, “theme”. So for page you is_page, and for category, use is_category, they are two different functions.

    I think the code is working for me, my website is working perfectly with the triangle. I don’t know why it does not work for you.

    i might understand your point, it is for the single page, right?
